In September 2005, at the University of Nebraska, Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, as part of field in questions from high school students were asked: “If you could have one superpower, what would it be?”
Bill Gates answered: “Being able to read superfast” and Warren Buffett echoed, saying: “I’ve probably wasted ten years reading slowly.”
It is amazing how these two successful American business leaders desire to have a superpower that would enable them to read superfast. This desire further gives credence to the undeniable plethora benefits of reading.
Reading allows one to simulate the future and avoid the mistakes of others. It’s the quickest way to get advice from successful people, receive new ideas for business and any of life’s pursuit and it’s a great way to find personal mentors (authors).
So, if you could have one superpower, what would it be? Would it be to be able to watch more TV shows, play more games and fly around? If you ask me, I would love to be able to read superfast. The profit of such a superpower is unbelievable.

To change your life and achieve whatever your dream is, fall in love with ideas hidden on the pages of books. Learn from those who have crossed different hurdles of life. Read!
“Reading can seriously damage your ignorance.” If you want to break the shackles of ignorance that must have been holding you down, pick a book today and start reading, but if you wish to stay the way you’re, well, you might want to keep watching TV and playing games. The choice is yours.
